‘Rich words from our local poets’
Sharing a love of the land they live and walk in, these two poets offer an evening of rich and thoughtful words to warm your hearts and banish the November chill. Both experienced performers, their work is engaging and insightful, exploring themes of relationship: to the land, to family and community, to love and loss. Dorothy Baird has two collections of poetry published (‘Leaving the Nest’, Two Ravens Press and ‘Mind the Gap’, Indigo Dreams Publishing) and her poetry has appeared in a wide variety of magazines and anthologies. Her work often reflects on her family experiences and the land around her. In addition to writing, she enjoys working as a Human Givens psychotherapist. She has worked for 20 years as an independent Literature professional, devising and delivering creative programmes across a broad range of educational, cultural and healthcare environments.
