Bodies, Bad Guys and Bloody Scotland” Craig Robertson
International bestselling author Craig Robertson will join us to talk about his 20-year career as a journalist and his transformation into leading crime writer. He is the author of eight novels and the creator of the Winter and Narey series which is set in Glasgow. His books - which include Random, Murderabilia and The Photographer - are dark, gritty, laced with black humour and guaranteed to make you think. They have been shortlisted and longlisted for major awards including The McIlvanney Prize, the Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year, and the CWA John Creasey Dagger. As a journalist, Craig interviewed three Prime Ministers and attended major stories including 9/11, Dunblane, the Omagh bombing, and the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Craig also helps run the Bloody Scotland crime writing festival which bring authors from all over the world to his home city of Stirling. Who knows where the bodies are buried? He does. About The Photographer: When DI Rachel Narey leads the arrest of a violent rapist, her team makes a shocking discovery - a hidden stash of hundreds of photographs, all of young women, all taken on the streets of Glasgow, all taken without their knowledge. When the trial against the rapist collapses and the man is back on the streets, Narey knows she has let down a young woman she promised to protect. She also faces a race against time to find the unknown victims of the photographer's lens - before he strikes again.
