Creative Writing Workshop Dorothy Baird
Be inspired to rediscover the joy and power of words. Release your inner writer in a relaxed and supportive environment and see where it leads you. Have fun!  Dorothy Baird was previously featured in our ‘local authors’ session but this year leads our first workshop. She has taught creative writing for over 30 years, leading groups in community and mental health settings and was the founder, and leader for five years, of the Young Edinburgh Writers (YEW), a writing group for teenagers. She has two poetry collections, Leaving the Nest and Mind the Gap (published by Two Ravens Press and Indigo Dreams Publishing) and her poems have appeared in a wide variety of magazines and anthologies. She is a Human Givens psychotherapist, has three grown up children and has lived in Currie for 30 years.            Whether you write already or are just starting out, this workshop           will help you experience the pleasure and satisfaction that come from          expressing yourself in words.         Using a variety of stimuli and prompts in a relaxed and supportive        environment, you’ll discover how easy it is to find your flow and        write short pieces that surprise you.          Do come along - it could be the start of something…
