Doug will discuss and read from his latest book, “Crash Land”,
set in Orkney and steeped in guilt, shame, lust, deception and
If that sounds too intense, a glass of fairtrade wine might help
you relax, and Doug may finish with a song or two in order to
bring you back down to earth again – without a bump
Doug is a writer, musician and journalist and has a PhD
in nuclear physics and previously worked designing radars.
His eighth novel, “Crash Land”, was published in November
His previous book, “The Jump”, was shortlisted for the
McIlvanney Prize for Best Scottish Crime Novel.
