The Return: Liz P’s Dell encounter
He stands, startled as if set in stone on concrete - lithe chestnut flanks frozen in bright April sunshine. This refugee from Craiglockhart Dell returns to reclaim his land as we hunker down indoors staying home, saving lives. We stare in strange silence his silhouette stark against the graffiti- grey decay of Redhall House. The deer locks eyes with me, wary then turns tail… and is gone. Back to the shadowlands of The Water of Leith.
