Artist Talks Evening

Thursday 19 November 2026, 7.30pm.  Baberton Golf Club, 55 Baberton Avenue, Juniper Green, EH14 5DU

Pentlands Open Studios brings a new selection of its artists back to the Pentlands Book Festival for an evening of fast-paced, visually rich talks. This year’s line-up features four professional artists from the collective, each presenting their work and ideas in a punchy, image-led format.

Each artist shows a set of 20 images, auto-advancing every 20 seconds — just over 6 minutes to tell their story, with the pictures doing much of the talking. Questions follow immediately after each talk.

It’s a fast, engaging way to hear directly from the artists about their process and inspiration — and, if past events are anything to go by, both cultural and comedic.

The venue has a bar which will be open during the event and afterwards for informal discussion.
